Children & Worship

Church for Children

We love having children worship with us in the sanctuary, but we also acknowledge that age-specific teaching is necessary for children’s growth. We are happy to offer Children & Worship as a program designed for little ones that takes place during the worship service.

Children & Worship (C&W) is a worship experience for Age 3-3rd graders

Children are invited to join their parents in the sanctuary and will be dismissed to C&W during the service (Of course, your children are more than welcome to stay with you in the sanctuary if you prefer).

Our C&W room is located upstairs, across from the Sanctuary.

Children will sing songs, learn about a Bible story, have a snack, and choose an activity to do until their parents/guardians pick them up following the service.

Children will be checked-in in the main lobby and will be given a name tag before the service. Parents will be given a security label that has a unique code that corresponds to the code on the child’s name tag.

Safety Policy

We value children and youth as essential parts of our community, and keeping them safe is our top priority.

Immanuel has a comprehensive children and youth safety policy. Below are some of the basic rules.

  • The Two-Adult Rule: At least two Children/Youth Volunteers must be present at every function and in each room or other enclosed building area during all Organized Children and Youth Activities. NOTE: This rule must always be preferred to the Rule of Three.

  • The Rule of Three: At least three individuals (at least one must be an approved Children/Youth Volunteer and the remaining two no younger than twelve years of age) must be present at every function and in each room or other enclosed building area during all Organized Children/Youth Activities.

  • Vetting: All staff and volunteers must pass an interview, background check, reference check, and undergo abuse awareness training.
