April 4, 2021 Easter

Greetings from all of us at Immanuel”

Pastor Matt Lee will be leading our study today in John 20:1-18, asking, “Did the resurrection of Jesus actually happen?”  “And if it did happen, does it change anything about our lives?” “What difference does the resurrection of Jesus Christ make for us more than 2,000 years later in the year 2021?”

This morning, on Easter Sunday, we are beginning a new sermon series titled, "The Resurrection and the Life", focusing on the life changing reality of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Join us today and over the next 4 weeks as we begin to ponder and explore the reality of Jesus Christ being raised from death to life and what it means for our lives today.

Pray for Our Missionaries

While Uganda’s schools are closed due to the pandemic lockdown, the government required that they send VOH orphans out in community to stay with their guardians. Most of these guardians are medically-hindered and have many orphans under their roof. Please lift their needs up in prayer. Please also pray for health as the schools begin to reopen on a staggered schedule, for protection during this time as some men are taking advantage of the girls, and for the safety of the staff as they travel long distances into the bush, putting their lives on the line in order to serve.

To hear more prayer requests from ICRC, please call 321-2495, extension 191, or if you have a personal prayer request, please contact Marcia J. You may also submit a prayer request on our website at www.icrclansing.org.

April 1, 2021 Maundy Thursday Communion Service

Tonight, as we hear from God's Word and celebrate Communion together we are reminded of how our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ humbled Himself to serve us and save us on the cross. As the Apostle Paul tells us of Christ in Philippians 2:7-8, "He made Himself nothing," and became obedient to the point of death on the cross.

On this Thursday night before the cross, traditionally called Maundy Thursday, we reflect on what Christ has done for us and how He calls us to witness to the good news of His redeeming work.

“Greetings from all of us at Immanuel”

Pastor John Messer will be leading our study today in Acts 6:1-7, teaching us about the tactics that the enemy uses to kill a church’s ministry, the “Deadly D’s”, and how to defeat them.

Whether you are a regular attendee, or if this is your first time with us, we want to be sure that you know how much we appreciate you joining us here for worship!

At Immanuel Community Reformed Church, Our Mission is: “Going into the community, imitating Christ, by feeding body and soul”.

Our 4 core values are:  nurturing children and youth, doing acts of service, responding to real needs in the community, and welcoming the stranger.

Our hope is that we have established an atmosphere where all feel welcome here and are able to engage all that God is, with all that we are!

The ancient prophets foretold the details of a Redeemer’s coming in a way that makes it impossible to believe anything other than Jesus is the Christ, Immanuel, God with us. The disciples verified all that was foretold about Him from old.  We strive to be brilliant, gospel lights holding up the truth of God’s exciting plan fulfilled in Jesus and reflect Him in the midst of the darkness all around.

Greetings from all of us at Immanuel”

Whether you are a regular attendee, or this is your first time with us, we want to make sure that you know how much we appreciate you joining us here for worship today at Immanuel Community Reformed Church. Our mission is “Going into the community, imitating Christ, by feeding body and soul”.  Our 4 core values are:  nurturing children and youth, doing acts of service, responding to real needs in the community, and welcoming the stranger. Our hope is that we have established an atmosphere where all feel welcome here and are able to engage all that God is, with all that we are!

A special worship service is planned for today that you won’t want to miss! Various individuals and groups will be sharing Christmas tidings throughout the service in what we are calling a CHRISTMAS COLLAGE.  This is a time to further soak up the sounds and sights of the season and to continue appreciating all of the beautiful carols this time of the year.

Greetings from all of us at Immanuel

Pastor Matt will be leading our study today in Micah 5:1-5a, teaching us that God prepared for the first Advent long before the first Christmas. The ancient prophets foretold the details in a way that makes it impossible to believe anything other than Jesus is the Christ, Immanuel, God with us. The disciples verified all that was foretold about Him from old, and as we reflect on Old Testament prophecies and eyewitness testimony we will no longer be considered ignorant on all matters of salvation, but instead we will be brilliant, gospel lights holding up the truth in the midst of the darkness all around.
