Meet our Pastor

Pastor Matt Lee

My name is Matt Lee and it is my privilege and joy to serve as the Lead Pastor here at Immanuel Community Reformed Church. I am a native Michigander who grew up in the pinky of the Mitten just north of Traverse City. My wife Kim and I are graduates of Hope College in Holland. Before God called me into pastoral ministry I worked as an aide in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. While in college I also worked in the Michigan State Senate here in Lansing for a summer.

Before moving to Lansing, Kim and I called the northwest corner of Iowa home for close to four years. We have three children, Oliver, Naomi, and Deacon. As parents to two toddlers and an infant, free time is not something we have much of these days but we enjoy pretty much any activity that gets us outdoors like camping or just walking around the neighborhood. Growing up in northern Michigan gave me a love for any and all outdoor activities from fishing and hunting to hiking and golfing. My most constant hobbies are running and reading. We are also a big sports family and enjoy football and basketball. Though I will keep our favorite teams a mystery until we know each other better.

Now that you've learned a little about me I look forward to the opportunity of getting to know you. If you see me running around town feel free to wave or stop by my office some time. My door is always open.
