AT ICRC there are numerous areas in which you might serve, based on your own interests and spiritual gifts. More information about our ministries may be obtained by calling the church office at (517)321-2495. Just leave your name, phone number, and the ministry you're interested in, and the person coordinating that ministry will contact you.
One on One Prayer Ministry--a prayer ministry for a Community Boy's Basketball program. The basketball ministry is for boys, ages 9-12. Prayer partners are matched and support and encouragement are offered throughout the year, as well as occasional fellowship events. Contact Bronwyn Steiner. Click the baskeball for pictures of the "Stealth Dream Team."
Need Sum Zees--a ministry in which men of the church deliver beds, sheets and blankets to families in the community. Christian Services provides our co-ordinator with names of families who are in need of beds and household items. Contact Sally Folkringa.
Summer Basketball Camp--Community youth are invited to come and learn or fine tune their basketball skills during this camp. Christian fellowship, prayer and character development are also part of the week-long experience. Contact Bronwyn Steiner.
Summer Mission Projects--Both Youth Groups select summer mission work projects. The Junior High has been working with Christ's Vineyard in Chicago to complete various work projects in downtown Chicago. The Senior High has begun to establish a relationship through All God's Children with two orphanages in Honduras, Hogar Amor and Hogar Nazareth. They also have served in local projects such as, in 2008, they went into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to assist with building a home addition for a family in need. Adults also participate in these projects. More information can be found on the Youth Ministries page.
Fresh Food Bank Ministry--the Fresh Food Bank serves families enrolled in the Quality Living program. Once a week families receive a food package consisting of milk, frozen meats, fresh fruits, vegetables and bread and other assorted food items. The goal of the ministry is to nourish God's people through prayer, spiritual love and fresh food. We are currently in the process of expanding the ministry to make fresh food available to more families in need. Contact Carol Carlson.
