Our August Mission of the Month is Love Clothing Center.  Please see the bulletin board and display at the top of the stairs.  Next Sunday we will give an outline of how you can participate in this very worthy work.  We will begin collecting clothes next Sunday.  If you have any questions, please see Carrie B. or Linda B.

The Flowers are provided in thankfulness to God for Joe and Darla's 18th Anniversary.

Sunday School/Bible Class:    PLEASE sign your children/youth’s names on the FLC bulletin board so we can plan for the Fall Semester of our studies. Thank you!

Firehouse:  We are collecting Back to School Supplies for distribution at our Neighborhood Ice Cream Social on Weds., Aug. 23rd.  Thanks for your donations!

Sunny Crest Ranch Benefit: This Weds., Country Music singer/songwriter Joni Harms will be at the Lakewood United Methodist Church, 10265 E. Brown Road (M-50), Lake Odessa.  The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and a free will offering will be received for the important ministry amongst the young boys at Sunny Crest.

Church Picnic at Hawk Island in one week! It is finally here! Aug. 20th fun!  Please sign up for your family in the Family Life Center.  Immanuel will provide sweet corn, hot dogs, drinks and tableware.  We ask that each family bring a salad or dessert.  Come ready for games!  Park entry is $5 for non-Lansing or $3 for Lansing residents.

Senior Adult Gathering:  October 1-4, 2017:  “There’s More to Me Than I’ve Used Yet!”  Time to delight in fall colors at beautiful Green Lake Conf. Center!  Dr. Brad Johnson, from Asbury Seminary, will lead discussions about living our values in our walk with God, connecting us with past stories and times and drawing us to make the most of today.  The Young at Heart singers will perform, delighting all with their singing.  See the Farnums for details.

Worship On the Waterfront Today: Sunday, August 13, Jason Crabb will return  with his power, range, and passion that moves him among musical styles of gospel, country, pop and southern gospel.  These concerts are worth the drive to the Grand Haven Waterfront Stadium; 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  No cost, no tickets, just a free will offering taken.  Next Sunday, August 20, join the Luceros to see Citizen Way!  This trio’s songs sport pop-rock influences, infectious lyrics and a great sound.

Well, not everything can be around forever, but things can be fun to look at again.  Sheryl P. was going through her mother's things and found some old church directories, back to 1960!  You might get a chuckle and a sweet memory from looking through this Immanuel History.  We don’t want them misplaced or damaged, so they are available for use only while you’re in our library.
